Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Completes health assessments in a newborn area (histories/physical exams).
• Orders, collects, and interprets lab and diagnostic tests.
• Forms and implements comprehensive newborn care plans with education, prescriptions, and therapies.
• Ensures complete documentation of assessments and care plans.
• Coaches and mentors other nurse practitioners.
• Serves on a nursing council, committee, or project team to improve patient care.
• Demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service.
