Job summary

BSWH McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, TX is hiring a Neonatal Nurse to join the NICU team. This 36-hour-per-week, full-time night position (7pm–7am, three shifts) supports the most fragile newborns in a accredited Level IV unit.

The 51-bed NICU cares for extremely premature and high-risk babies with a dedicated neonatology team, advanced technology, and around-the-clock coverage. You’ll collaborate with pediatric specialists to ensure exceptional outcomes and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• RN license required and BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed nursing assessments and care planning.
• Educate patients and families about care needs.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate with the care team.
• Ensure safety and quality of patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and neonatology specialists.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient care.
