Job summary

Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth is seeking a Neonatal ICU/NICU Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts (6:45PM-7:15AM) to cover 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements and one on-call shift per 6-week schedule.

Minimum qualifications include an RN with an Associate degree or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred; 1+ year NICU experience; BCLS, NRP, NRPA, and CPI certifications as specified. The unit features a 16-bed Level III NICU and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program required.
• One year or more of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required.
• BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care.
• NRP within 90 days required.
• NRPA within 90 days required.
• CPI training maintained annually (90 days) required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assess the patient.
• Plan the care of the patient.
• Intervene as needed.
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures.
• Initiate information sharing with patients and families.
• Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and facilities.
