Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - NICU RN - Travel Nurse

Location: Moreno Valley, CA.

Overview

We are seeking Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses for an immediate travel nurse opening in Moreno Valley, CA. The ideal RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to sick and premature infants.
• Assist in round‑the‑clock infant care and support to parents, offering emotional encouragement and guidance on home care.
• Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as incubators and ventilators.

Qualifications & Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift 10-20 pounds.
• Knowledge of hazards from chemicals and infectious diseases.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
