Qualifications

• RN with Massachusetts license (or eligibility).
• 3–5 years of current NICU Level III experience required.
• Preferred BSN; clinical leadership skills a plus.
• Familiarity with hospital policies and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: follow SSH policies for administering, transcribing and recording medications; complete reconciliation; document narcotic activity.
• Plan of care/Documentation/Patient Family Centered Care/Patient Experience: develop, communicate and update a prioritized plan of care for each patient; document outcomes and readiness for discharge.
• Safety/Quality: foster a culture of safety; verify patient identification; follow hand hygiene and universal precautions; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Professional Development: pursue evidence-based practice and performance improvement; maintain licensure and engage in ongoing education.
• Technology: use Lotus Notes for email, LMS, and department resources; operate department software and handle downtime procedures.
• Compliance: adhere to regulatory, privacy, and security policies; escalate issues appropriately.
• Patient and Family Centered Care: respect patient/family values; involve family in planning and care; welcome participation.
• Age & Culture: provide culturally aware care, address diverse populations, utilize interpreter resources when needed.
