Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care RN for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. This per diem day shift role offers growth in a high-acuity NICU, with support for ongoing professional development.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care to newborns and families, maintaining safety and compassionate patient experiences across shifts.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate with NJ endorsement
• BLS certification and NRP required
• BSN strongly preferred
• 1–2 years NICU experience preferred
• Per diem day schedule; shifts 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; three shifts per month including weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and detect subtle clinical changes
• Administer safe medications and provide hands-on care
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care
• Educate patients' families and ensure understanding of care plans
• Document accurately in EMR to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and promote teamwork
