Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Pharm D from an accredited School of Pharmacy; experience cannot substitute.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Licensed as a pharmacist in Mississippi or eligible for licensure; licensure before hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and oversees dispensing of prescription medications; ensures identity, strength and purity.
• Advises physicians on indications, dosing, interactions and side effects; provides drug information.
• Maintains records and inventories; ensures safekeeping of pharmaceuticals.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of pharmacy technicians.
• Oversees acquisition and disbursement of drugs to locations; ensures compliant storage.
• Plans and maintains procedures for mixing, packaging, labeling per policy and law.
