Job summary

Temple Health seeks a PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN for the Neonatal ICU on a 16-hour night shift (11pm-7am), including every other weekend, at the Womens and Families Campus in Philadelphia. You will support RNs with direct/indirect patient care, perform vital signs, ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, and glucose tests, and assist with unit secretary, transport and environment of care tasks.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, plus Nurse Aide/MA/EMT training or nursing student rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Other training such as Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, EMT, or Nursing student clinical rotation is required.
• 1 year of related patient care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform vital signs, ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, and capillary glucose testing.
• Assist with patient transport and duties related to environment of care.
