Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for the Neonatal ICU on a contingent/IRP basis at University Hospital. The APP will work closely with a NICU physician and team to manage care for critically ill newborns in a high-volume level 3 unit.

Eligible candidates include Ohio-licensed APRNs or PA-Cs with NICU exposure; 0–2 years of neonatal APP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio.
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program eligible for national certifying exam in Ohio.
• Master of Science Degree in Nursing.
• 0 years of relevant experience required; 0-2 years neonatal APP experience preferred.
• For PA-Cs: graduate of a PA-C program eligible for NCCPA certification; 0 years must apply; 0-2 years neonatal APP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to NICU patients with physician supervision.
• Collaborate with NICU team to deliver care during acute and chronic illness, with education and counseling as needed.
