Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and licensure or eligibility.
• New graduates welcome; PA with interest in Neonatology encouraged.
• BLS and NICU training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations.
• Evaluates and treats based on history, exam, and tests.
• Performs procedures as privileged and approved by the division chief (e.g., intubation, line placements).
• Initiates referrals and consults with supervising physicians.
• Documents and bills for direct care when appropriate.
• Engages in evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.
• Participates in accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities.
• Maintains licenses, certifications, CMEs as required by policy and state law.
