Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, seeks a Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology. The appointment is a 1.0 FTE faculty position with clinical, academic and administrative duties, including teaching residents and students and participating in teaching conferences.

The ideal candidate will be ABP-certified or eligible, licensed in South Carolina, and passionately committed to MUSC’s educational missions while caring for both typical and medically complex neonatal

Qualifications

• M.D. or Equivalent required.
• Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics.
• Eligible for licensure in South Carolina.
• Strong interest in working with both typical as well as medically complex babies.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents and fellows as part of the educational mission.
• Share the neonatology division call schedule with current faculty.
• Practice at Shawn Jenkins’ Children Hospital in Downtown Charleston, SC.
• Engage in clinical, academic and administrative services as part of an academic leadership role.
• Participate in the department’s call schedule and quality improvement activities.
