Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital in Houston seeks a Manager of Business Operations for Neonatology and Inpatient PFW. You will lead daily business and personnel activities, support the Director, and ensure cost-effective, patient-centered care while complying with CMS billing regulations.

You will coordinate inpatient/outpatient operations, budgeting, staffing, and process improvements, collaborating with clinical leaders to optimize revenue cycles and patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3 years of business operations or healthcare environment experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational coordination for inpatient and outpatient operations, referral management, scheduling, authorization, charge entry and billing practices, denial management, and reimbursement.
• Develops and monitors the department budget; analyzes variances and prepares reports on fiscal activities.
• Collaborates with leadership to refine charging strategies and ensure regulatory and CMS compliance.
• Establishes staffing roles, schedules, productivity guidelines, and participates in hiring, coaching and performance management.
• Drives process improvements to enhance patient safety, flow, satisfaction, and staff development.
• Coaches and develops staff using performance management and ensures effective orientation.
