Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessment, history taking, physical examination, review of diagnostics, and development of differential diagnoses with appropriate treatment plans.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up; collaborates with clinicians and students.
• Provides instruction to physicians, housestaff, nursing, and students; participates in outreach programs and system improvements.
• Interacts with patients, families, and staff in a respectful, timely, and professional manner; maintains clear communication and shares responsibility for workload.
• Engages in daily quality improvement; leads initiatives to improve care delivery and develops new clinical programs.
