Job summary

UNC Health Rex Neonatal is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join a multidisciplinary team onsite in Smithfield, NC. The APP will assess patients, order tests, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with supervising physicians and staff.

Responsibilities include education of patients and families, documentation for billing, and engagement in quality improvement initiatives. Per diem, variable schedule, onsite work.��

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level APP program.
• Current NC license as APRN/PA with DEA registration.
• NRP certification if Neonatal Nurse Practitioner role is selected.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical history and perform physical examination.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with appropriate pharmacology.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records for billing and care.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and students to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding conditions and follow-up.
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
