Job summary

UNC Health Rex Neonatal in Smithfield, NC is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the neonatal care team on a per diem basis. The APP will work within the interdisciplinary team under physician supervision, delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to neonates and their families.

Responsibilities include comprehensive history and exam, orders and interpretation of tests, developing treatment plans, education for families, and participating in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited APRN or PA graduate program.
• North Carolina licensure as APRN/PA; board certification if required by the department.
• DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health history and perform physical assessment with differential diagnoses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with evidence-based pharmacology.
• Provide education to patients and families on conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Engage in leadership activities and participate in quality improvement projects.
• Document care thoroughly to support billing and care continuity.
