Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Neonatal Advanced Practitioner to manage care for high-risk newborns under neonatology supervision in Atlanta, GA. You will perform assessments, orders, and care plans, collaborating with the medical team to stabilize infants and educate families.

The ideal candidate has an NNP or AC-PNP or PA program, GA APRN licensure, and BLS/NRP certifications. Experience in ICU settings and teaching/preceptorship are valued, with opportunities to lead outreach education.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Neonatal NP, AC-PNP, or PA program.
• Experience in ICU or ICU-like settings preferred.
• Georgia APRN licensure required.
• ANCC NP Certification or NCCPA PA Certification required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• At least 1 year of direct neonatology experience preferred.
• Master's-level qualification in neonatal practice preferred.
• Related experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for high-risk newborns under supervision of an attending neonatologist.
• Perform physical assessments and interpret findings.
• Order and perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures with supervision.
• Document all aspects of patient care using charting procedures.
• Collaborate with medical team to develop and stabilize care plans.
• Educate families and teach outreach education activities.
• Serve as preceptor and assist with staff orientation.
• Assist with routine and high-risk deliveries as needed.
• Provide consultation for chronically ill infants and complex cases.
