Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a neonatal nurse to provide high-quality care for neonates and infants. You will work with the health care team and families, applying advanced clinical skills while maintaining licensure and following age-specific care guidelines.

Participation in research activities and knowledge sharing with the interdisciplinary team are encouraged to advance neonatal care and ensure developmentally appropriate patient care across shifts.

• Advanced clinical assessment skills for neonates.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants.
• Communicates and collaborates with appropriate members of the health care team, including patient families.
• Works to improve the quality of care provided to neonates.
• Advances the care of neonates through participation in and application of the research process.
• Shares knowledge on a formal and informal basis with interdisciplinary team as relates to specialty area.
• Maintains current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing to provide continuous nursing services to prevent the spread of bloodborne and/or airborne disease(s).
• Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
