Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
• No prior experience required.
• Demonstrated clinical competency and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: obtain history, perform physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Education: educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up; develop educational materials.
• Leadership: train and precept physicians, housestaff, and students; participate in outreach and quality improvements.
• Professional: communicate respectfully with patients and colleagues; manage workload and patient flow.
• Quality/Research: engage in quality improvement, participate in protocol development, and support policy influence.
