Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the interdisciplinary team in Rocky Mount, NC. The role focuses on high-quality, cost-effective patient care within the APP scope, collaborating with a supervising physician.

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, education, leadership, professional interaction, and continuous quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery. Statewide Nash NPM Passthrough unit supports this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level APRN or PA program.
• Licensed as APRN/PA in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: Obtain health history, perform physicals, interpret tests, develop differential diagnoses, create treatment plans.
• Education: Educate patients and families, develop teaching materials, provide instruction to clinicians and students.
• Leadership: Precept, train, and participate in rounds and meetings; lead system improvements.
• Professional: Communicate respectfully with patients and team; manage workload with the team.
• Quality/Research: Engage in quality improvement, develop new clinical programs, influence policy.
