Job summary

America West Transportation LLC is seeking a courteous wheelchair Transport Driver to deliver exceptional service for clients requiring accessible transportation. You will assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and provide a "through the door" service with a focus on safety and comfort.

The role requires a valid state driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to navigate local areas using GPS. A flexible work schedule and experience with elderly clients are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license or CDL required.
• Five years of valid state driver’s license with <=1 moving violation or at fault accident in the last 3 years.
• Familiar with using cellular phones and GPS navigation.
• Experience driving corporate/paratransit vehicles is a plus.
• Experience working with elderly populations.

Responsibilities

• Drive clients to and from destinations safely.
• Perform pre-inspection checks on vehicles.

About the Role

We are seeking a courteous and friendly wheelchair Transport Driver who can deliver excellent customer service consistently. Drivers must assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and assist clients with a "through the door" service. Applicants must have a flexible work schedule, to accommodate the business need.

What You'll Do

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Drivers are responsible for pre-inspection checks on all vehicles they are driving. They must make sure all items or any other devices are stored away properly. Drivers must drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.

Qualifications

License

• Valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license required.

Education & Training

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required.
• Drivers should be familiar with the driving region and the surrounding areas.

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles are a plus.
• Must have a valid specific state driver's license of posted job location for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years.
• Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS.
• Experience working with the elderly population
• Physical certifications: Non-DOT Physical, Drug, TB, and Breath Alcohol test
• Acceptable background screens, which include but is not limited to criminal check and drug and alcohol screening
• Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Bilingual in another language in addition to English preferred
