Job summary

America West Transportation LLC is seeking a courteous NEMT Driver to deliver exceptional customer service to our selective clients. You will assist clients entering and exiting the vehicle and provide a door-through service, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include pre-inspection of vehicles, safe transport to destinations, and adherence to safety protocols. Ideal candidates have a valid state or CDL license, CPR/First Aid preferred, and experience with paratransit and elderly riders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
• Valid state driver’s license or CDL required; open to CDL and non-CDL drivers.
• Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles is a plus.
• Familiar with driving region and GPS navigation.
• Experience working with elderly population.
• Physical certifications: Non-DOT Physical, Drug, TB, Breath Alcohol tests.
• Background checks including criminal, drug and alcohol screening.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
• Open to CDL and non-CDL drivers.

We are seeking a courteous and friendly wheelchair NEMT Driver who can deliver excellent customer service consistently. Drivers must assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and assist clients with a "through the door" service. Applicants must have a flexible work schedule, to accommodate the business need.

What You'll Do

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

NEMT Drivers are responsible for pre-inspection checks on all vehicles they are driving. They must make sure all items or any other devices are stored away properly. NEMT Drivers must drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.

Qualifications

License

• Valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license required.

Education & Training

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required.
• Drivers should be familiar with the driving region and the surrounding areas.

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles are a plus.
• Must have a validspecificstate driver's license of posted job location for at least three (3) years preferred, with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years.
• Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS.
• Experience working with the elderly population
• Physical certifications: Non-DOT Physical, Drug, TB, and Breath Alcohol test
• Acceptable background screens, which include but is not limited to criminal check and drug and alcohol screening
• Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred
• Open for both CDL and non-CDL drivers

Working Conditions

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screening - background and drug screen which includes alcohol screening
• May be subjected to multiple drug and alcohol screenings to maintain Driver credentials

Physical Requirements

Driver must be able to pass the physical test:

• Lift up to 50 LBS, push up to 150 LBS
• Bend from the waist
• Pivot from waist
• Be able to move from a standing position to kneeling position back to standing
