Job summary

America West Medical Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dedicated NEMT Driver to transport wheelchair and stretcher patients using fully equipped vehicles. The role may operate solo or with a teammate depending on assignments.

You will independently manage medical transport tasks, prioritizing safety and patient care while interacting with families and care teams. A valid license, clean driving record, and English proficiency are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required.
• 3 years of professional driving experience required.
• Clean driving record (No more than 1 point).
• Ability to pass a drug test and health screening including TB test and/or TB chest x-ray.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test.
• Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to use apps and electronic devices.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The NEMT Driver will be responsible for picking up wheelchair patients or stretcher patients using a fully loaded vehicle equipped for wheelchairs or stretchers and a GPS system. This position may work independently or with another teammate based on driving assignments.

• Ensure patients are transported safely from their home to place of service and returned home safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a physical agility test
• Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English, strong communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual language ability preferred

Final pay rate is determined based on qualifications, experience, and performance, at the employer's discretion.
