Metropolitian Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Non-Emergency Transportation Driver to safely and promptly transport pediatric patients to medical appointments and therapies. The role emphasizes compassionate interaction with children and guardians and adherence to safety procedures.

The driver will perform vehicle inspections, assist with boarding, maintain logs, and follow all policies. Candidates need a clean driving record, 3+ years of driving experience, and CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in past 3–5 years).
• Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.
• Experience working with children and adults in professional or volunteer settings preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate a non-CDL vehicle to transport pediatric patients according to scheduled routes and appointments.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper working condition.
• Assist patients with entering/exiting the vehicle, including securing car seats or booster seats for appropriate age/size.
• Communicate effectively with patients, guardians, dispatch, and medical staff regarding schedules, delays, or any issues.
• Maintain transportation logs, mileage records, and patient manifests.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety items.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
• Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.

The Non-Emergency Transportation Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and compassionate transportation of patients to and from medical appointments, therapies, and other designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to interact positively and professionally with children and their guardians, ensuring a comfortable and secure transport experience.QualificationsKey ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a non-CDL vehicle to transport pediatric patients according to scheduled routes and appointments.Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper working condition.Assist patients, as needed, with entering and exiting the vehicle, including securing car seats or booster seats for appropriate age/size.Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, guardians, dispatch, and medical staff regarding schedules, delays, or any issues.Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and patient manifests.Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety items.Respond to unexpected situations or emergencies calmly and professionally, following established protocols.Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.Qualifications and RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3-5 years).Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.Experience working with children and adults in a professional or volunteer capacity is highly preferred.Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.Patience, empathy, and a compassionate demeanor.Ability to maintain a strict schedule and manage time effectively.Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while driving.Ability to safely lift and secure car seats, booster seats, and assist children (up to 50 pounds).Ability to safely lift and secure adult patients up to 300 pounds.Ability to assist patients with mobility issues, including entry and exit from the vehicle.Good vision and hearing (with or without corrective lenses) to operate a vehicle safely.Ability to perform routine vehicle checks and light maintenance tasks.
