Job summary

Aviva Medtrans is seeking a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to provide safe, reliable transport for patients to medical appointments. You will operate wheelchair and gurney vans, ensure comfort, punctuality, and safety with a friendly, professional demeanor.

This role requires collaboration with dispatchers and healthcare facilities, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to assist passengers, perform basic vehicle checks, and maintain accurate trip logs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no more than 1 incident in the last 3 years).
• Experience in paratransit or heavy lifting preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with passengers and team members.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate non-emergency medical transportation vehicles, including wheelchair and gurney vans.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking; provide excellent customer service.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance checks; report issues promptly.
• Plan efficient routes to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Coordinate transportation schedules with dispatchers, patients, and facilities; address concerns.
• Assist passengers with mobility devices while maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain trip logs, mileage records, and vehicle inspections per policy.
