The Non-EmergencyTransportationDriveris responsible forthe safe,timely, and compassionate transportation of pediatric/adultpatients to and from medical appointments, therapies, and other designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to interact positively and professionally with children and their guardians, ensuring a comfortable and secure transportexperience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safelyoperatea non-CDL vehicle to transport pediatric patients according to scheduled routes and appointments.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper workingcondition.
  • Assistpatients, as needed, withentering and exiting the vehicle, including securing car seats or booster seats forappropriate age/size.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, guardians,dispatch, and medical staffregardingschedules, delays, or any issues.
  • Maintainaccuratetransportation logs, mileage records, and patientmanifests.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety items.
  • Respond to unexpected situations or emergencies calmly andprofessionally,following established protocols.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3-5 years).
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.
  • Experience working with childrenand adultsin a professional or volunteer capacity is highly preferred.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, anda compassionatedemeanor.
  • Abilitytomaintaina strict schedule and manage time effectively.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Ability to safely lift and secure car seats, booster seats, andassistchildren (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to safely lift and secure adult patients up to 300 pounds.
  • Ability toassistpatients with mobility issues, including entry and exit from the vehicle.
  • Good vision and hearing (with or without corrective lenses) tooperatea vehicle safely.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle checks and light maintenance tasks.
