Job summary

Emerus partners with Baylor Scott & White Health to lead a neighborhood hospital initiative. This nursing leadership role creates an atmosphere of high-quality patient care in emergent hospital settings, with oversight across clinical and office staff.

The role requires a BSN (MSN preferred) with Texas RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 3+ years in a hospital management track. It involves budget accountability, safety leadership, and collaboration with regional teams.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required; MSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Texas, without sanctions.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS per American Heart Association.
• 3+ years of progressive management in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferred.
• 5+ years of nursing experience, preferred.
• Familiarity with JCAHO or DNV standards.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, supervision, guidance and coaching for hospital employees.
• May serve as the Patient Safety Officer for assigned facilities as granted authority by the Board of Directors and Medical Executive Committee.
• Conduct Root Cause Analyses with the Patient Safety Committee to mitigate future incidents.
• Ensure hospital compliance with policies, regulations, licensing and accreditation standards.
• Handle patient grievances with adherence to PHI privacy and security principles.
• Lead facility inspections by licensing and accrediting agencies.
• Oversee Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and Dietary.
• Assume fiscal accountability through budgetary oversight.
• Complete and communicate employee performance evaluations.
• Drive data and metrics to regional management; monitor quality indicators.
• Oversee training, safety and quality initiatives; ensure staffing coverage.
• Support community outreach and travel to facility locations as required.
