Job summary

Advanced Atomization Technologies, LLC in Clyde, NY is seeking an NDT Trainee I to become certified in NDT methods and perform inspections to AA TECH product drawings and procedures.

The role requires reading and understanding detailed instructions, strong computer skills, and the ability to travel up to 5% annually. Certification training will be provided with expectations to achieve Level 2 within two years.

Qualifications

• Must have completed High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand detailed work instructions, procedures, and drawings.
• Strong computer skills; create spreadsheets and Word documents, use Excel formulas.
• Basic math and algebra skills; verification on test.
• General science comprehension.
• Successfully complete eye test.
• Must meet NAS-410 for certifications in NDT methods.
• Travel up to 5% (up to 3 weeks per year).

Responsibilities

• Certify to level-2 in Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI) and Digital Radiography (DR) within 2 years of start date.
• Complete 3 certification tests to achieve Level 2 – FPI and Level 1 & 2 – DR.
• Recertifications required every 5 years.
• Follow procedures and read prints/drawings related to AA TECH products.
• Operate equipment, perform system checks and routine maintenance.
• Assist in developing techniques and improving inspection quality.
• Inspect hundreds of parts daily for defects and ensure quality standards.
