General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced NDT Technician II - 2nd Shift to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and seek motivated, creative individuals to support and shape our growth.

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With over 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes, and fuel tanks.

Major Position Responsibilities
  1. Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
  2. Develop specific calibrations and tests.
  3. Document results in accordance with the specification.
  4. Identify errors and defects in equipment.
  5. Use ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during testing.
  6. Conduct system performance checks per process standards.
  7. Maintain or develop procedures, policies, and techniques as necessary.
  8. Maintain documentation for training and experience hours.

Manager Specific Requests:

  1. Operate x-ray machines to take radiographic images of multiple product lines.
  2. Support all x-ray/test/inspection processes and improvements. Perform light troubleshooting.
  3. Prepare x-ray/test/inspection reports.
  4. Assist other technicians and Quality engineering as needed.
  5. Recommend improvements to methods, products, and facilities.
  6. Assist in developing procedures and techniques.
  7. Perform other functions as directed by supervision.
Basic Qualifications
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
  • Required: Vocational/Technical Training Degree & 2-4 years' experience OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Current Industrial Radiography State Certification.
