Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC is seeking a diligent inspector to join our Carson City team. The role involves inspecting aircraft engine parts using non-destructive testing methods to ensure strict safety and quality standards.

You will work 3rd shift from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working additional hours as needed. A strong mechanical aptitude and experience in NDT are preferred. Our comprehensive benefits program begins on your first day.

Job Summary

You’ll inspect aircraft engine parts using non-destructive testing methods like Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI) and X-ray (Radiography). Your work helps make sure every part meets strict safety and quality standards before it goes back into service.

Shift: 3rd Shift (Monday-Friday) 10:30PM-7:00AM

Shift Differential : Overnight positions include a shift differential of $2–$4 per hour, depending on the assigned workdays

What You’ll Be Doing

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections

Follow written procedures to complete NDT inspections

Verify part numbers, serial numbers, and paperwork match

Accurately record inspection results

Use basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

Make sure equipment is in good working order and in calibration

Report any quality issues or nonconforming parts

Handle parts carefully to avoid damage

Keep your area clean, safe, and organized

Work as part of a team with production and quality

What We’re Looking For

NDT experience or training (FPI or X-ray preferred)

Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Basic measurement tool experience is a plus

Comfortable reading and writing in English

Team-first attitude and strong work ethic

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
