Job summary

Major Tool & Machine, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an NDE Technician for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on nondestructive testing to inspect products within the time allocated for each operation, serving as a technical resource for MTM.

You will work under the Quality Assurance Manager, perform inspections per contract and manufacturing routing, document results, and maintain the work area safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NDE Level II training meeting SNT-TC-1A or NAS-410 in two or more methods.
• Minimum 2 years’ NDT field experience with Level II certifications in at least 2 methods.
• Knowledge of AWS, ASME, military standards and procedures.
• Understanding of math and ability to work with computers; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the assignments given by the NDT Team Leader.
• Conduct NDT inspections using various methods per industry standards and contract requirements.
• Interpret and report test results per industry standards and MTM Quality System.
• Apply the Quality System requirements in daily tasks.
• Report anomalies to the NDT Team Leader.
• Assist team members with technical support.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Take part in team meetings.
