Job summary

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an NDE Technician for 2nd shift to perform nondestructive testing of manufactured parts. You will be a technical resource, following MTM’s Quality System and Manufacturing Routing to complete inspections within expected timeframes.

Qualifications include High school diploma, NDE Level II training in two+ methods, and at least 2 years of NDT experience with Level II in two+ methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• NDE Level II classroom training meeting SNT-TC-1A or NAS-410 in two+ methods is required.
• NDE Level II experience hours in two+ methods are required.
• Minimum 2 years in NDT with Level II certifications in at least 2 methods is required.
• Knowledge of industry standards (AWS, ASME, military, etc.) and basic math.
• Ability to work with computers and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the NDT Team Leader with assigned tasks.
• Conduct NDT inspections using multiple methods per standards and contract requirements.
• Interpret and report test results per industry standards and MTM Quality System.
• Apply Quality System requirements in daily assignments.
• Report anomalies to the NDT Team Leader.
• Assist team members with technical support.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and participate in team meetings.
