thyssenkrupp Materials Services is seeking an NDT Inspector based in Lafayette, IN. The role focuses on Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) of production parts, including demagnetizing and inspecting parts on an MPI booth, with occasional travel and a night shift.
The successful candidate will hold ASNT Level II MPI, API 653/510 certifications, and TAPPI/OSHA 30 safety training, contributing to safety and quality compliance across operations.

Job Summary
The NDT Inspector is based primarily at our Lafayette, IN facility, where the core of the role is MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) of production parts, including demagnetizing and inspecting parts on an MPI booth. The Inspector may also examine piping, storage tanks, and pressure vessels to identify defects and equipment issues before they cause failures. This role combines hands‑on technical inspection work with training responsibilities, helping ensure consistent quality and safety standards. Occasional travel is required.
Shift: Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am (Some Saturdays required)
