Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Shift Leader for NDT in our aerospace operations. You will lead a team of inspectors performing nondestructive testing across materials and spaceflight systems, ensuring part integrity, quality, and lifespan in a safety-focused culture.

The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of NDT methods, NAS 410/ASTM specs, and the ability to work D-shift (Fri–Sun, 5:00 PM–5:30 AM).

Qualifications

• Strong leadership of an inspection team in aerospace manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of NAS 410 and ASTM/AWS specs for certifications/inspection requirements.
• Proficient with MS Office; familiarity with inventory and issue tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inspectors, set goals, review performance, coach, and manage work schedules.
• Coordinate with NDT management to share resources and expand certification capabilities.
• Provide status updates at daily schedule meetings and participate in hiring processes.
• Ensure training records are current and inspections meet engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Develop safety improvements and promote a culture of inclusion and teamwork.
