Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Carlstadt, NJ is seeking a Radiographic (RT) and Fluorescent Penetrant (PT) Level II Inspector to join our growing NDT department. You will inspect critical components using film and digital radiography, and fluorescent penetrant methods for aerospace applications.

The role requires NAS 410 Level II certification or higher, ability to obtain US security clearance, and a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• NAS 410 Level 2 certification in Radiographic Testing or Fluorescent Penetrant Testing with 1 year NDT experience.
• Candidates with NAS410/ASNT Level 1 may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic inspection and fluorescent penetrant inspection per documented techniques and work instructions.
• Inspect welds, heat affected zones and base material on components (Inconel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium).
• Interpret results to determine pass/fail based on drawings, procedures and customer specs.
• Maintain inspection areas and equipment; document test results and logs.
• Identify indications affecting quality and safety (cracks, porosity, etc.) and disposition items accordingly.
• Coordinate defect trends with supervisor/quality engineer and recommend corrective actions.
• Aim to pass NAS 410 Level II certification in-house and meet vision requirements.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance; may require weekend work.
