Job summary

Acuren is seeking a State Carded RT Assistant in Beaumont, TX to support nondestructive testing activities. This on-site, casual full-time role involves assisting radiographers, setting up NDT equipment, performing inspections, and recording results in accordance with instructions and safety regulations.

The candidate will contribute to quality assurance efforts and support tasks as needed by management in a fast-paced industrial environment near Beaumont.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred, technical background beneficial.
• Must pass background check and have a trustworthy history to comply with regulations.
• Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles.

Position Summary

State Carded RT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Responsibilities

Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• RT State Cared Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
