Polymer Concepts Technologies, PBY, Inc. Kaydon Ring & Seal (KRS) in Hanover, PA is offering an NDT Quality Engineering Intern position for Spring and Summer 2027.

The intern will support the quality assurance and quality compliance teams with Non-Destructive Testing projects and document control tasks. You will work with a mentor on a multi-week project, perform basic engineering calculations, and apply engineering principles in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Current Sophomore or Junior in NDT, manufacturing, mechanical, or related engineering field attending four-year accredited university or college.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Understanding of various quality programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR Compliance.

Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. KRS Division dba Kaydon Ring & Seal (“KRS”) is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial applications. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine/airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of KRS.

Our internship program is organized to involve individuals in the design, development, manufacturing, and quality assurance of high-performance mechanical sealing solutions. Individuals selected will apply learned concepts to dedicated and on-going projects, as well as learn new skills to achieve the determined goals.

Our crew in Hanover, PA has an opportunity available during the Spring and Summer 2027 for an NDT Quality Intern.

Job Summary

The NDT Quality Engineering Intern will support the quality assurance and quality compliance team with various assigned projects and tasks relating to Non-Destructive Testing. The Intern will assist with various projects including document control.

Essential Job Functions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and safety equipment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Problem solving mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Regular on-site presence at Hanover, PA location.
• Work is performed in an office environment while supporting manufacturing environment.
