Polymer Concepts Technologies is seeking a Design Engineering Intern for the Spring/Summer 2027 term at our Hanover, PA site. You will join the design engineering team to assist with project work, develop testing plans, and validate designs under mentor guidance.

The internship emphasizes hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, and 3D CAD with SolidWorks, plus Excel and Word proficiency, safety and ITAR awareness, and strong communication.

Formación

• Current Sophomore or Junior in manufacturing, mechanical, or related engineering field attending four-year accredited university or college.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Understanding of 3D CAD software and SolidWorks.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
• Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR Compliance.

Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. KRS Division dba Kaydon Ring & Seal (“KRS”) is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial applications. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine/airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of KRS.
Our internship program is organized to involve individuals in the design, development, manufacturing, and quality assurance of high-performance mechanical sealing solutions. Individuals selected will apply learned concepts to dedicated and on-going projects, as well as learn new skills to achieve the determined goals.
Our crew in Hanover, PA has an opportunity available during the Spring and Summer 2027 for an Design Engineering Intern.

Job Summary

The Design Engineering Intern will support the design engineering team with various assigned projects and tasks. The Intern will research and develop testing for validation.

Essential Job Functions

• Follows and supports all the Company’s safety, quality and company policies.

• Works with mentor(s) on a multi-week assigned project.
• Performs basic engineering calculations and apply engineering principles to solve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and safety equipment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Problem solving mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Regular on-site presence at Hanover, PA location.
• Work is performed in an office environment while supporting manufacturing environment.
