Job summary

Joby Aviation seeks a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector, NDT, 1st Shift to perform specialized inspections across composite, metallic, and additively manufactured aircraft parts. Reporting to Quality Control leadership, you will evaluate structural integrity and engineering conformity per drawings and standards.

The role requires 0–2 years NDT experience or NAS 410 training, with proficiency in ERP/MES and MS 365. FAA/NADCAP compliant practices are expected.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years practical inspection experience or NAS 410 training.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and material specs.
  • Familiarity with NAS 410, ASNT, ASTM quality standards.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MES, NDT tools, and MS 365.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive evaluations on aerospace components using UT/CT/PT/ET.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment and imaging systems.
  • Interpret data, scans, and reconstructions against drawings and specs.
  • Document findings and generate MRBs when needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers and shop teams on techniques and root-cause investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA, QMS, NADCAP and NAS 410 practices.
