Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures is seeking a Quality Inspector at our Lancaster, SC plant. You’ll perform visual and magnetic particle inspections, test materials, and ensure conformance with AWS D1.1 standards. You’ll also complete inspection records and report findings promptly.

You will review drawings, uphold safety practices, and participate in training Level I Inspectors to promote quality across products in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with up to 3 years of related work experience.
• Experience using inspection tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Quality control experience in manufacturing.
• CWI and UT certification are a plus; welding background is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections to ensure conformance with standards and determine product acceptance.
• Complete inspection records accurately and report findings to supervisor.
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and neatly completed.
• Comply with safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in training Level I Inspectors.

Meyer Utility Structuresis searching fora Quality Inspectorin our Lancaster, SC plant. As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that’s committed to making the best utility structures in the world. You’ll provide visual/measured inspections/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements. The Inspector will also complete inspection records, and report and follow appropriate codes and regulations.

Schedule- Rotating Nights 7pm-7am with occasional overtime as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform visual inspections to the requirements of AWS D1.1
• Perform magnetic particle inspection using dry powder yoke method
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products
• Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed
• Comply with safety regulations at all times
• Participate in the training process of Level I Inspectors
• Have the ability to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time

What You’ll Need:

• Experience in the use of inspection tools and precision measuring equipment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Quality Control experience
• High school diploma or equivalent with up to 3 years of related work experience
