Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Clinton, IL is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to perform MT, VT and dimensional inspections to ensure conformance with standards. You will inspect materials and products and ensure documentation is accurate, while following safety regulations.

This role requires experience with inspection tools and precision measuring equipment, reading blueprints, and a background in Quality Control.

Qualifications

• Experience using inspection tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Quality Control experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with three years of experience.
• CWI and UT certification a plus.
• Welding background.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections to AWS D1.1 requirements.
• Perform magnetic particle inspections using dry powder yoke method.
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products.
• Ensure accurate and neat documentation.
• Comply with safety regulations at all times.
• Participate in training Level I Inspectors.
• Work while standing for long periods.

Job description

Meyer Utility Structures is currently looking to hire a Quality Control Inspector for our new plant location in Clinton, IL. In this role, you will perform MT, VT and dimensional inspections of materials/products to ensure conformance with all standards and requirements.

Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. What You’ll Do:

• Perform visual inspections to the requirements of AWS D1.1
• Perform magnetic particle inspection using dry powder yoke method
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products
• Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed
• Comply with safety regulations at all times
• Participate in the training process of Level I Inspectors
• Have the ability to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time

What You’ll Need:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
