Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Nondestructive Testing professional to join the Operations team. The role focuses on Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection of metallic flight hardware and test samples, ensuring part integrity and life span through controlled methods.

The candidate will read blueprints, apply NAS-410 standards, and collaborate with engineers. Overtime and off-shift work may be required to meet critical milestones and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Level 2 experience in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.
• Must be able to pass Penetrant General Test and Specific Test by week 3.
• Must meet NAS-410 training requirements in Penetrant Testing.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection on critical flight hardware.
• Maintain inspection techniques per safety and spec requirements.
• Interpret results and apply acceptance criteria from drawings or work orders.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly process control checks.
• Document and organize inspection results.
• Coordinate with Engineers/Managers to discuss results.
