Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. in Mentor, OH seeks an NDT Level III to serve as the technical authority for nondestructive testing within the NDT department, reporting to Engineering Department Management.

The role provides advanced expertise, develops and validates NDT techniques, supports production, and mentors Level I and II Inspectors, ensuring inspections meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• NDT Level III certification with at least 5 years as Level II.
• Mechanical inclination to evaluate technically and mechanically.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work scope instructions.
• Welding inspection background or CWI with related metallurgy courses.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and comply with company safety policies.
• Develop and deploy instructions aligned with OEM manuals and regs.
• Provide technical support for inspections of aerospace components.
• Mentor Level I and Level II NDT technicians to uphold standards.
• Recommend NDT methods for root-cause analysis and document findings.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, production to align inspection strategies.
• Ensure compliance with NAS-410, ASTM, FAA/EASA regulations.
• Update NDT tools and methods for safety, quality, delivery, cost.
• Provide technical review to Responsible Level III for approval.
• Evaluate new NDT technologies for applicability.
