Component Repair Technologies in Mentor, Ohio is seeking an NDT Level II Inspector (Penetrant Testing) to train and perform non-destructive testing duties. The role emphasizes NAS410 certification through an on-the-job training program and hands-on practice, under Level III supervision, focusing on turbine engine components.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Level I or II in NDT methods; certification/qualification required.
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including shop drawings.
• Previous experience with overhead cranes.
• Able to pass skill level tests in other trades or disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Complete NAS410 qualification requirements for Level II.
• Perform NDT inspections per OEM procedures for penetrant testing of turbine engine components.
• Set up/standardize equipment, process parts, and document results.
• Understand scope of limitation of the technique used for part certification.
• Conduct NDT methods such as FPI and FMPI as required.
• Perform system performance checks and seek supervision as needed.
