Job summary

Mentorchamber's NDT Department seeks an NDT Level III to act as a technical authority over nondestructive testing for aerospace components, reporting to Engineering Department Management.

The role develops and qualifies NDT techniques, mentors Level I and II inspectors, and ensures compliance with NAS-410, ASTM, FAA/EASA regulations while driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Expertise in aerospace nondestructive testing.
• Ability to develop, qualify, and optimize NDT techniques.
• Experience mentoring Level I and II inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols per company policies.
• Develop and deploy work instructions per OEM/regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support for in-process and final inspections.
• Mentor Level I and II NDT Technicians.
• Recommend NDT methods for root cause determination and document findings.
• Coordinate with engineering/quality/production to align inspection strategies.
• Support NAS-410, ASTM, FAA/EASA compliance.
• Revise NDT tools and methods for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Provide input to Responsible Level III for final approval.
• Evaluate new NDT technologies for aerospace applicability.
