Job summary

Sterling St James Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a hands-on NAS-410 Level II NDT Technician to perform nondestructive inspections across PT, MT, and UT methods for aerospace and submarine components. You will document results and support ongoing program development.

The role requires training or supervising Level I personnel, ensuring NADCAP/NAVSEA/compliance, and maintaining rigorous quality records in an on-site environment.

Qualifications

• NAS-410 Level II qualification or certification in one or more NDT methods.
• Knowledge of NDT codes, specifications, procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
• Ability to pass Jaeger J-1 visual acuity examination and color-perception requirements.
• U.S. citizenship is required to meet defense program and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and standardize NDT equipment.
• Process and inspect components per procedures and standards.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results for acceptance or rejection.
• Document inspection findings and maintain quality records.
• Provide guidance and supervision to Level I personnel.
