Job summary

Software Placement Group in Springfield, MA is seeking a hands-on NAS-410 NDT Level II Technician to lead the development and maintenance of an compliant NDT program for aerospace and defense weldments. You will set up and calibrate NDT equipment, inspect components, document findings, and train Level I staff.

You will ensure NADCAP, NAVSEA, and ASNT compliance while collaborating with engineering, welding, manufacturing, and quality teams. This is an on-site, full-time role requiring U.S.

Qualifications

• Current or prior NAS-410 Level II qualification in PT, MT, or UT.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment setup, processing, interpretation, and documentation.
• Familiarity with NDT codes, specifications, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass Jaeger J-1 visual acuity and color-perception requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and standardize NDT equipment within certified methods.
• Process and inspect components per procedures and standards.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results for acceptance or rejection.
• Document inspection findings and maintain quality records.
• Conduct system performance checks per process standards.
• Understand scope and limits of applicable NDT methods.
• Provide guidance and supervision to trainees and Level I personnel.
• Maintain familiarity with codes, specs, and standards.
