Nucor Steel Memphis, Inc. is seeking an NDT Lead in Memphis, TN to support NDT lines, champion safety, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves reviewing tests, calibrating equipment, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Ideal candidates hold Level 2 MT/UT certification with 3 years of NDT experience in steel applications; preferred are steel production experience and knowledge of NDT standards.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and holidays.
• Level 2 MT/UT Certified.
• 3 years experience with non-destructive testing in steel applications.
• Preferred: steel production or primary metals manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: experience with Non-Destructive Testing of SBQ steel.
• Preferred: knowledge of industry standards for Non-Destructive Testing.
• Preferred: two to four year technical degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Nucor Memphis NDT lines with safety-driven efforts and process development to meet customer specifications.
• Review test results and product performance; assist in calibrations and equipment maintenance.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide production/sales support and uphold safety policies across shift operations.
