Job summary

ONYX Specialty Processing in Decatur, Texas, is seeking an NDT Inspector (Level II - Penetrant) to perform FPI on aerospace components in a NADCAP environment.

You will take part in PT inspections, process monitoring, and documentation, report to the QC Manager, and contribute to quality compliance across the facility.

The ideal candidate holds NAS 410 Level II, has 2+ years of aerospace PT experience, and is adept at drawings, reports, and maintaining traceable records.

Qualifications

• Must hold active NDT Level II certification in Penetrant Testing (NAS 410) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of PT inspection experience in aerospace/defense.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) on aerospace components as an NDT Level II PT inspector.
• Set up, operate, and maintain PT equipment; monitor dwell time, emulsification, wash, developer, and UV intensity.
• Evaluate indications and document findings in inspection records.
• Identify non-conforming parts and communicate rejections to production and Quality Manager.
• Maintain PT system logs, calibration records, and process control docs per NADCAP.
• Support NADCAP audits and system performance checks.
