Job summary

Siemens Energy in Gibsonton, FL seeks an entry-level NDT FPI Inspector to support blade and vane inspection on the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection line. The role includes NDT Level 2 responsibilities and on-the-job training for trainees.

Responsibilities cover equipment setup, examinations, data reporting, and interpreting FPI indications to meet customer specs. Strong attention to codes and safety is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED evidence is required.
• Achieve and maintain internal certifications per SNT-TC-1A and customer requirements including examination for general method knowledge, specific procedure understanding and practical performance of the method.
• General knowledge of other NDT disciplines and investment casting experience is a plus.
• Must become trained to the PT certification requirements including 12 hours of formal classroom training and 400 hours of OJT under a certified NDT Level I, II or III.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment, conduct examinations, and interpret results concerning applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Familiar with the scope and limitations of the method and techniques for which qualified, shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I personnel.
• Organizing and reporting the results of NDT tests.
• Performing an interpretation of FPI indications for acceptance to work instructions/techniques to meet customer specifications.
• Reporting all required data and mapping the results as required.
• Cross-training and other duties may be assigned as needed.
