Job summary

Jan X-Ray Services, Inc. (JANX) seeks a Level I NDT Technician to support Level II Technicians and perform basic NDT services under direct guidance.

You will prepare equipment, set up work areas, complete paperwork, maintain cleanliness, and learn NDT methods and field practices. The position is union-backed and requires a State Radiographer Card, US work authorization, and the ability to operate company vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ months of experience in the NDT industry or a trade school degree in NDT is required.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment and processes based on Level I certification.
• Basic knowledge of inspection technology.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and field requirements.
• Ability to read technical documents and procedures.
• English language proficiency.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist Level II Technicians with work execution and daily tasks.
• Prepare, set up, and complete required paperwork under supervision.
• Establish work area boundaries to prevent unauthorized access.
• Replenish and organize supplies for NDT methods.
• Perform basic NDT inspections under Level II guidance.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and vehicles.
• Observe test procedures and product specifications to learn requirements.
• Follow company safety practices and policies.
• Demonstrate professional communication with customers.
